Le naufrageur is definitely my favorite brewer. The beer of theirs that I prefer is Swordfish which is a brown beer. La Malause is another favorites when it comes to blond.
www.lenaufrageur.com
I also love the raspberry beer from La Barberie
www.labarberie.com

Also, i have an original nova scotian friend that brews beer in his appartment in Montreal. When we challenged him to create a beer for the Valentine day, he succeeded in ceating a surprisingly good beets beer. Now he is working on a mapple beer. If you would like to get in touch with him, let me know!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05821806040761512292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7995609175702203728.post-29666231564920116672011-04-21T17:42:31.208-04:002011-04-21T17:42:31.208-04:00Hey Matt! AND, I was just talking to the guy at the NSLC, and he said they source a lot of stuff from the LCBO, so if they can get Beau's Lug Tread and Esten's cider from them, we can get it! We'll def. look for Dieu du Ciel next time, too, I've heard the name, but never visited. Hoping to see you and your clan this summer!Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02957322201274843811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7995609175702203728.post-75385189270201987682011-04-21T14:01:41.224-04:002011-04-21T14:01:41.224-04:00Hi Rose,

As for bottled lagers, two Ontario suggestions: Mill Street Organic Lager is an ideal light summer beer (it's actually a pilsner), which would go over well given the emphasis on ales.
A second thought is Beau's Lug Tread Lagered Ale, which is brewed in Mary Pat and David's own Vankleek Hill. Don't think they export out of Ontario yet, but worth asking (it's great stuff).

You ever been to (or heard of) Dieu du Ciel brewpub in Montreal? My favourite brewpub. Neat menu, great atmosphere, amazing beers. I'm sure I'll have anew favourite once you guys open-- hope I can have a drink there this Christmas.

http://www.dieuduciel.com/en/home.php

Cheers,
MathieuMatt Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01499943826851762129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7995609175702203728.post-91653306521919725362011-04-21T13:39:16.420-04:002011-04-21T13:39:16.420-04:00Looks great, Esten - are you a fan? We've also got a contact for an award winning cider co. in Wales, but haven't figured out how to get it yet...Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02957322201274843811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7995609175702203728.post-22348338310565886992011-04-21T12:50:41.859-04:002011-04-21T12:50:41.859-04:00Check out this as a cider option.
